What you are agreeing to, written so you can actually read it. These cover both the service and the credits it runs on.

Agreeing to these
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.
What the service is
Sluice reads publicly available posts and business listings, works out who the people behind them are, and scores them against a description you write. It produces a ranked list. It does not send anything to anybody unless you connect a messaging account and approve each message.
What you may not do
- Use it to find or target private individuals for anything other than business contact.
- Use it to harass, stalk, defraud or discriminate against anybody.
- Resell raw data pulled through the service as a data product. Using the output to run your own or your clients' outreach is exactly what it is for.
- Attempt to reach another customer's workspace, or test our security without asking us first. Ask and we will usually say yes.
- Use it where doing so would break the law that applies to you.
Break these and we may suspend the account. Where it is not an emergency we will tell you why first.
Credits and what they are
A credit is one United States cent. One dollar buys 100 credits. Your plan grants credits monthly, and additional credits can be bought at the same rate.
We charge credits for lookups that return usable information. A lookup that returns nothing usable is not charged to you. What counts as usable is decided by whether the result contained the information the lookup was for, and we apply that consistently rather than case by case.
Credits carry over month to month while your subscription is active. They are not money, cannot be exchanged for money, and expire when your account closes.
Subscriptions
Plans run from $9 to $149 a month, billed monthly in advance, renewing until cancelled. Cancel any time from the app and the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
Connected messaging accounts are billed at $10.80 per account per month while connected, and billing stops when you disconnect.
If we change prices we will give thirty days' notice by email, and the change applies from your next renewal.
Sending messages
If you connect a messaging account you are responsible for what is sent from it and for following that platform's rules. We apply a daily cap below the platform's own limits and send nothing you have not approved, but the account is yours and so is the consequence of how it is used.
Your data
You own what you put in and what the service produces for you. You give us permission to process it to run the service, and nothing else. We do not use your data to train models.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it is uninterrupted. It depends on third-party suppliers and public websites, both of which change without notice.
We do not warrant that the information found is accurate or current. It comes from public sources, people write inaccurate things about themselves, and listings go stale. Check anything before you rely on it. Scores are an opinion produced by a model, not a fact.
Liability
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
