What a credit is

A US cent. $1 buys 100 credits and nothing bills in fractions, so a charge of 40 credits is forty cents and the ledger reads in whole numbers.

One social connection

$10.80 a month per connection, stopped the moment you disconnect it. Connect a LinkedIn account to send from the app. Nothing sends that you have not approved.

What things actually cost

Real figures at real supplier prices, marked up 60%, which is the markup and it is on the page rather than in a footnote.

One passAt mostIn dollars
One Reddit post, 25 people looked up40 credits$0.40
One LinkedIn post, 25 people looked up52 credits$0.52
Plumbers in one town, 25 businesses32 credits$0.32
One extra person looked up2 credits$0.02

At most, because misses are not billed. The real charge lands at or under these.

One social connection

$10.80 a month per connection, stopped the moment you disconnect it. Sluice sends nothing you have not approved, and holds a daily cap per connection well under the platform's own limit.

Going over your allowance

Top up at the same rate: $1 for 100 credits, no premium for having run out. Work stops at your balance rather than continuing into a surprise.

Questions worth asking first

What does Sluice actually do?

Sluice reads who engages with public posts on Reddit, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, plus local business listings. It works out who each person is, scores them against what you sell, and ranks them. It sends nothing unless you connect an account and approve the message.

How is the pricing different from Clay and similar tools?

Most tools charge a credit for every lookup, whether or not it returned anything, so you pay to discover a lookup failed. Sluice charges only for lookups that came back with something usable. A profile lookup with no title, no company and no location is not billed to you.

How can you afford not to charge for failed lookups?

Because we record what every supplier delivers, not only what it charges. Across all customers, that shows which endpoints actually return people and which quietly return nothing. The router stops picking the ones that miss, so the misses we absorb keep shrinking.

What is a credit worth?

A credit is one US cent, so one dollar is 100 credits. Nothing bills in fractions. A pass over a Reddit post enriching 25 people is roughly 40 credits, which is forty cents, and the app quotes the worst case before you run it.

Can I find local businesses, not just people on social?

Yes, and it is the part most tools skip. Name a trade and a town, such as plumbers in Manchester, and Sluice reads every business listed there with its rating, review count, phone and website, then scores each one. A missing website is often the strongest signal on the page.

Does it send messages for me?

Only if you ask. Connect a LinkedIn account for $10.80 a month while it stays connected, and Sluice will send messages you have approved, under a daily cap well below the platform's own limit. Nothing is generated and sent unattended.

Is scraping public posts legal?

Sluice reads only what is publicly visible without logging in, which is the same material a person could read by hand. It stores what it found, shows you the source, and deletes a person's record on request. It does not access private groups, inboxes or anything behind a login.

What happens to unused credits?

Credits from your monthly plan roll into the next month while your subscription is active. They expire if you cancel, and any bonus credit from your first month is part of that balance rather than a separate pot with its own rules.
